Produced from our oldest and highest vineyard the Selva is one of the first single vineyard Lugana ever produced.

This vineyard has three important elements: altitute, between 110 and 125 mslm, hill incline and stones that allow the clay in the soil to be more permeable.

IThe grapes are hand-harvested in 20 kg crates and brought to the cellar, where they are gently pressed.

The must is then cooled and clarified with the utmost care before the alcoholic fermentation begins, using selected yeasts.

The entire winemaking process takes place in stainless steel tanks to protect and enhance the typical characteristics of the grape variety, known for its austerity. The wine evolves in stainless steel on fine lees for 6-8 months.

It matures then in the bottle, where it waits to reach a balance in which the grape variety softens its exuberance, achieving a harmony between its salinity and freshness. This balance makes it a unique expression of this territory.

It will begin to show its true identity by the end of summer, one year after the harvest, but it can age for several years, revealing itself more and more with each passing year and always surprising.

By the early autumn mists, its vigor will finally be expressed in a more generous width of aromas, which, though always delicate, will be balanced between minerality and fruitiness (citrus, peach...). Subtle vegetal notes, sometimes of sage, may also be detected.

Taste is the most important expressive dimension of this wine: its sapidity, made fragrant by its freshness, the breadth and vibrant warmth that make it unique in its ability to harmonize with food without being overly assertive, yet accentuating and enhancing the dishes with which it is paired.

The first vintage was produced in 1983.

Over the years, it has been awarded in major competitions and has received continuous recognition from the most respected and prestigious wine guides.

The success that honors us most is the one received from its loyal followers who, throughout the years, have encouraged us to continuously perfect its production, pushing us to remain faithful to and respectful of the characteristics of the grape variety and the territory.
