Produced from the traditional blend of Groppello, Marzemino, Sangiovese and Barbera this Rosso is the classic red wine of the Lake Garda.

The grapes from the different varieties are harvested and destemmed before being gently pressed. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures. The skin maceration, in stainless steel tanks, usually lasts from 7 to 10 days with several daily pump-overs. Malolactic fermentation is typically encouraged, and the wine is then aged in stainless steel tanks for up to 12 months. A small portion may be aged in wood.

The wine presents a beautiful bright ruby color, with an intense aroma, featuring fruity notes (cherry, blackberry) and enticing spicy hints. On the palate, it is warm, with a smooth tannic structure, revealing a sweet and persistent finish.

It has the remarkable and unique ability to be both broad and full-bodied, yet incredibly easy to drink.

It can age well for 4-5 years, developing aromas of jam, fine notes of tobacco and leather, intertwined with spicy hints of black pepper.

This is the characteristic "Rosso del Lago," of great pleasantness and good complexity. These qualities make it versatile for pairing with many dishes, from cold cuts and appetizers to pasta dishes and grilled meats, balancing its soft tannins beautifully.

It is difficult to trace its first vintage, as it is one of the most ancient wines in our cellar.

Throughout its production years, it has been highly praised by Merum (Andreas Maerz) and the Veronelli Guide. The Gambero Rosso awarded several of its vintages with two glasses, recognizing it among the best Italian wines for quality/price.
